How it works

1

Create your free profile

Add your language pairs, specialisms, registrations and whether you work face to face, by phone, by video or all three.

2

Get booking requests

When a client needs an interpreter, you see the languages, the setting, the date, the length and where it takes place.

3

Send your price

Reply with your hourly rate and minimum booking, a half-day or full-day fee, or a quote for a conference.

4

Agree the booking directly

The client contacts you by phone or WhatsApp. You confirm the terms and invoice them as you normally would.

Questions from interpreters

Everything you need to know before you join.

Yes. Quoteland is a new platform, and right now joining, receiving booking requests and contacting clients costs nothing. We don't ask for card details, so nothing can be charged without you knowing.

We're launching and need to build up both clients and interpreters. While we do that, there is no fee. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you clearly in advance and you can decide whether to use them. Nothing will be switched on automatically.

Business meetings, negotiations and site visits, appointments with solicitors and advisers, private medical appointments, weddings and family events, conferences and training, and British Sign Language bookings.

No. Quoteland doesn't take a margin on your fee or allocate assignments. Clients contact you directly and you set your own rates and terms.

Yes. Add your NRCPD registration and whether you're a trainee or registered interpreter, so clients can see you're qualified for their booking.

It isn't needed to join, but much legal and public service work asks for NRPSI registration or a DPSI. Showing them on your profile helps clients choose you.

Yes. Your profile shows whether you work face to face, by phone, by video or a mix, so you only get requests that fit.

Directly, by phone or WhatsApp. Quoteland doesn't sit between you and the client or take a cut of your fee.
